The UK government has agreed its first law enforcement data adequacy decision since leaving the EU. The decision relates to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, and it will enable personal data to be transferred more freely between UK law enforcement and Bailiwick of Guernsey law enforcement. The EFCB welcomes the UK’s data adequacy decision and thanks the Data Protection Team within the States of Guernsey for their valuable contribution.

The new Economic & Financial Crime Bureau has been established in Guernsey.

The Bureau is an independently led financial crime enforcement entity that will investigate money laundering and recover assets obtained through unlawful conduct.
